As a very young child, Rachel would wander the splendid New Orleans home of her great grandmother. She loved admiring the fine furnishings her grandmother collected from worldwide travels.
In 2005, Rachel renovated her first home on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Bringing new life to that quaint beach house lit her passion for home remodeling. After earning a Master's of Business Administration with an emphasis in Design, she and her husband moved to Dallas, Texas.
In 2013, Rachel started her interiors business. Through the years this business has expanded to include general contracting, which has provided the opportunity to design, build and renovate properties. She has the unique ability to see the beautiful design potential of any living space.
Rachel's approach to design is ever evolving and always inspired. Her passion is to design and construct spaces that are a true reflection of the people living in them.
As the founder and creative director behind Tria Custom Homes, her goal is for Tria clients to feel an authentic serenity within the walls of their very own, tailor-made custom home.

We believe that functional elegance should be produced through design! Any design style can present an atmosphere of undeniable elegance when implemented well. We believe in authentic exploration and inspired living. We explore what appeals to you and what inspires you. At Tria Custom Homes, our goal is to transform a house into a completely customized home that is uniquely and beautifully you.
Our Philosophy
During the initial consultation Rachel will ask a lot of questions. Her objective is to learn who you are, what your interests are, what inspires you and what you want to accomplish for your home. This is also the time to discuss budget details.
After the consultation, it is time for her to do some homework. She will produce design boards for you to view, discuss and approve. Design boards are an amazing tool to preview how your space will be transformed.
Implementation will begin occurring next, the order depending on the type of service/services you have chosen for her to assist with.
A final walk through will be conducted at the end of the project and ensure you are completely satisfied. This walk through is usually such a joy as clients finally are able to see the house they have lived in finally become their own completely customized home. A home that reflects who they are and how they want to be surrounded.

How do I find out what the current trends are?
The most important question is what do you like and lets build on that. Almost any style can be made to feel trendy when accented and implemented appropriately.
That being said if you still want a quick trend tip: goodbye gray walls and oil rubbed bronze fixtures.

Where should I splurge?
Lighting and paint. These two elements can update almost any space! It is amazing how switching an old dated fan with a more stylish chandelier can transform a space. Next splurge worthy item is Paint and a close third would be hardware.

How do I begin?
Anytime we get this question, the answer is always the same. What is something that inspires you? Is there a photo, artwork, rug, old blanket, even a shoe....
What do you like about the piece? Is it the color, the style, the texture, or simply the feel. Then build on that.
